Museum Siam

It's time when my class got cancelled again, I decide to induce your friends to explore areas in Bangkok with me. I take my canon 600D camera with 50mm lens with me today.
First we went to the opposite side of the river from my uni. We went to Wang Lhang for a lunch at some Vietnamese noodle place. The noodle was so good and tasty. I love Vietnamese food so I love this place so much. If you fancy trying here is the link.

Then we take the ferry back to my uni and take Tuk Tuk to a place called Museum of Siam. It's some kind of historical museum but you can interact with things in museum. Normally in other historical museum, you can't touch things there but here you can play with everything.

In the museum, they are several nice room for taking picture as well.

Have you seen any museum that you can play with?

The New Loreal True Match!

As the Loreal True Match foundation is by far my most favourite foundation, I'm so excited when they bought a new one which they reformulated it. The new one claimed to be lighter, softer and more natural looking on your skin. It's oil-free formula, which I don't know whether the old one is oil-free or not.

There are only 3 shades in Thailand, which mine is G3 Gold Vanilla. I pick the same shade as the old one but after 2-3 hours, the colour dropped and it tend to get darker than the old formula. I can feel a huge different between the two formula as the new one is a lot lighter and dry faster. It's harder to blend to your skin as it's oil free and dry quicker. However, I very like that it look more natural on my skin and I barely need a concealer while using this foundation, which for the old one I still need some concealer on my redness and spot on my face.

I would say that if you already like the old one and you like matte foundation, this will be better for you. But if you prefer a more radiant and glowing skin, the old one is better, or you can have the alternative for the Loreal Lumi Magique Foundation.

Do you fancy trying the No.1 foundation from Loreal?

Richest Banana Cake Ever!

Last week I found a couple of banana in the kitchen. It's too ripe to eat so I decided to bake something delicious. I found this recipe online but I adapt it a little bit. At first I don't think it's gonna taste good but a lot of my friends love it, so I think I should share it on my blog.

You'll need...

  • 185g butter
  • 225g caster suger (or you can mixed half caster sugar and half brown sugar)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg york
  • 280g self-raising flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 90 ml milk

How to make this cake....

  • Grease the tint you'll use. I use the aluminium foil trait (this recipe make 3 trait)
  • Melt butter, sugar in saucepan on low heat and added vanilla extract
  • Remove from heat and add to the mashed banana
  • After cool down a lil bit add eggs
  • Add flour and milk
  • Pour into trait that you prepared about 3/4 full
  • Bake at 170 degree Celsius for around 32-35 mins until golden brown
  • Leave until cool
  • Enjoy!!
If you like heavy texture, leave it in the refrigerator for 30 mins, it's so good!!

Eastern Style Therapy.

First of all, I have a confession that even thought I live in Thailand, I never know that there is a Thai brand called HARNN exist. I randomly found this brand on Elle UK magazine and realised that I should start to discover more about Eastern style brand.

I found the brand call Harnn which sell hand cream and other aroma theory stuff. Their products have a very Thai scent like jasmine, lemongrass, and others. Recently I've tried the Oriental Herbs Revitalising Lotion and the Oriental Herbs Hand Cream from this brand.

Both hand cream and lotion are Oriental Herbs scents which smell like lemongrass. Personally I don't think there is any different between the texture of hand cream and the body lotion. Both have light and not greasy texture which suitable for the weather like in Thailand.

What do you think about lemongrass scented product? I love it and I think this would be a very nice gift for someone who love aromatic scent.

I think why not do another post about this cafe and show you the different things in there as they change the interior a lil bit. This time I went there with my sister and try out some new sweets.

The Strawberry crape cake is so gooooood.

Thank You

Best Lip Balm so far.

Today post will be about the product that everyone can use, it's a lip balm! I've been after a good lip balm for a while as I used up my NIVEA Lip Butter, and I can't find it in Thailand. I heard a lot of Kiehl lip balm but it tend to melt when it's in the weather here.

I've heard a lot of people raving about how good the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm are but I never pick it up because it's a lil bit pricy for a lip balm. However, after a while, I can't find any particular lip balm I like so I decided to spend a little bit more money and purchase the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF15.

First of all, I love the packaging, it's so beautiful! The consistency of the lip balm itself is very thick and doesn't melt unlike the NIVEA one. The smell of it is not something fancy.

I might bias because f its price but It's so good. It's a lot better than lip balm I've tried included the Cle De Peau Beaute which is bloody expensive. I'd say that I love it but only thing I don't like is it come in a pot which I prefer in a stick form so you don't have to put your finger in.

Have you ever try this lip balm?

Budget Buying : 1£ Nail Varnish

I am the person that doesn't like to spend a lot of money on nail polish that I won't wear until it dry out. I went to Superdrug and looking for an affordable nail varnish, and I saw that MUA nail varnish for only 1£ each.

I love the colour range as it has many colours that I like and they also has the neutral shade as well. The blue one which is Bold Blue needs about 3-4 coats to make the colour pop because this is quite sheer. The Green (Leapfrog) and Purple (Frozen Yogurt) need 2-3 coats. It dries very fast and stay quite well on the nails.

I'd recommend if you just want to try some fun colour it's pretty good price and sometime they have the 3 for 2 deal which makes it more affordable.

What do you think?

Teddy's Bigger Burger!!

Warning : This post might make you hungry!!

By finishing the class a lil bit early, me and my friends decided to go to a burger place called Teddy's Bigger Burger. If I don't remember wrong, the original restaurant is in Hawaii. This place has the biggest burger as I found the ad in Facebook so we decided to try.

The A&W root Beer is by far my most favourite soda ever!!

The Original Burger which you can choose how you like your meat to be (rare, medium rare, etc.).

We choose out burger with the Combo set that come with any choice (Cheesy fries, hash brow, or onion ring).

The Western style (no veggie)

I had the Grilled chicken with extra avocado and some kind of special sauces. It's so good and so big as the name of the place said.

Overall I love this place, the price is not too high compared to others place that have burger like this. I love the taste of the sauce in the burger and I also love that it's massive. I'd recommend you to find any Teddy's near you and try it. I think this burger made my day after a morning tedious class!!

Do you want to try a Bigger burger?

Another Good Oil For You Skin

Having heart of the tea tree oil for a while, I decide to try and let me tell, it beats all of my spot treatment I've tried.

I have heard so many people talked about the Body Shop tea tree oil that it can heal your acne and blemishes. I start to do a little bit research about the oil and as it's 100% oil, may be I can find the alternative one because the Body Shop in Thailand is a little bit expensive. I found the Australian brand called Thursday Plantation tea tree oil that available in boots with a lot cheaper price. I haven't tried the Body Shop yet but I'd say that this one does the job in clearing my acne. It smells like eucalyptus. The oil texture is very light, it's not a greasy oil, and if you tend to have dry skin, it can dried your skin out a little bit. I love to use this before the moisturiser and I use it along with my Aderma Cream De Soin and it's fine.

I'd say of you have active acne, this oil can help you a lot. It's fine for every skin type even though I have sensitive skin.

Do you fancy trying this one?

Wake Me Up When September Ended

I can't believe another month just gone and it's now October. I'm not quite excited about October as some people do for Halloween because I'm looking forward to Christmas more!! As the month ended, it's time for another favourite post.

This month I don't feel like I have anything new for makeup because I've been wearing the same things all month long. However, I found one skincare favourite which I discovered recently, the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil. It make a huge different, help to clear my skin, and also cure my dehydrated skin as well.

I came back to my old favourite perfume which I have felt head over heel for. It's the IDOLE D'ARMANI Eau Dd Parfum. I actually got it from my mom and I love it. It's the rediscover as I switch to other perfume. I can't find it anywhere now that sell it so I'm not sure whether its discontinue or not. It's not floral nor fruity scent, I don't know how to describe it. It's very feminine and strong scent. If you are a fan of a strong perfume, it's for you.

For the nail varnish favourite, I've wearing different shade of nude everyday. As I ran out of my Tanya Burr one and I can't get it in Thailand, I decided to pick up some random Japanese one and it's really good. It quite sheer so you need 3-4 coats, but it doesn't feel that it's thick at all. It last for a week and even I put a plaster on, the nail colour didn't chip.

Next favourite is the fitness band. It's Mi Fit from China. It's so cheap, it was about 500baht (10£) and it work fine, the battery last more than a month and it also remind you when your phone ring which I really love.

And my last favourite is my new bag. I'm thinking about getting a Longchamp bag for a while but I couldn't decide which colour I want, so I haven't bought it yet. Last week, I come across the shop and found the short handle which I wanted and it's a cat face!!!! At first I think this has to be mine, but I'm quite hesitate because the price, you can get some pretty Ted Baker one. However, the next day, my mom bought it for me, and I'm so glad!!! I think the MAIOU handbag is limited edition for this year (2015). I get a lot of use as I carry it to university and it can carry a lot of stuff like my camera, my iPad, etc.

That's all of my favourite things this month.

What is your favourites this month?

Things To Remind Yourself.

Today post would be a lil bit random and different one that I feel like posting it as I think it might help one of you. It's normal for people to dislike someone and it's normal for others that they might don't like something about you. I found myself grow up a lot from my old self. I learn so many things to deal with the bad situation and I think I'd like to share some in this blog.

  • Remember that if someone hate you or dislike you, it's normal and don't take it serious. Instead of get angry of that person, look back to yourself about why they don't like you and if it's a ridiculous reasons, just don't care, but if it's something bad for other people (for example, selfish, narrow minded), you should learn and improve it.

  • Gossip is also normal. I used to think over when I knew that people are gossiping about me but as I grow up and have been with many people, I realise that I shouldn't care if I didn't do anything wrong.

  • When others do bad things to you, or flame you, it's their matters. I've learn that if someone hate you so much and keep doing bad things to you, it's that person who concerns and think about that matter not you. If you get mad or angry at that person, he or she would not feel like what you feel. Sometime, we, ourselves keep worrying about trivialities and it's your own nerve-wrecking.

  • Be positive is important even though it's sometime hard to be. I used to think negatively on person I met for the first time. I used to judge people and most of the time I found that I'm wrong. Try to think optimistically about someone you met and it would make you life a lot better.

  • This one is quite radical but some people in this world is just exist to make you realise that this kind of people actually exist in the world. There is a people who is very pessimistic in this world and you can't change anything but avoid them.

  • Take the bad things as a lesson and take the good things as a presents. When something bad happened, learn from it and don't let it hempen again. Don't regret because you should regret it if it happen once more. The good things is like a gift, appreciated it and enjoy it, but remember, nothing last forever.

Here are somethings I can think of right now. I remind myself everyday when I faced something bad. Your life is your own, don't let other ruin it. Be your own self and be proud, be appreciate of what you have.

Until we meet again.

Amazing Blue Orchid Oil

I am a person who is quite scary when think about facial oil even though I have dry skin. As recently I've been looking for a new skincare that would improve my dehydrated skin. I watched Amelia Liana's video about her skincare routine and decide to try something that she use because I've tried couple of skincare that she love and it make impressive effect with my skin as well.

I decided to try the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil which she was raving about. It's a yellow looking oil which the first time I smell it, it's weird but I love the smell of it now. It claimed to help the dehydrated skin. This oil is also claimed to tone and revive skin.

After I use it, I can feel the softer and smoother skin. I only use at night time but after I wake up, I don't feel that it make my face oily. It fade my blemish and redness on my face and also didn't break me out. It also hydrate my skin and make the pores less obvious. I only a few drops and for 30ml, it'll last you a long time.

I don't know what is not good about this product as the product itself is so amazing and the packaging is convenient to use. I'd definitely use until the last drop and repurchase it again.

Would you like to try some facial oil?

Recent Homeware Buy.

After clearing my room a little bit, I found that it's messy but lack f home decorating stuff. I decide to look for an inspiration from various blogs and go out to find something exciting. I decide to look for budget homeware and I found a Japanese shop called Daiso. Everything is only 60baht (about 1.5£). I am after something that make my home smell good for a while and I finally found the infusion from this shop. Unfortunately, the smell it not so great so I take the perfume out and put my old Victories Secret body spray and it work, my room smells like Victoria Secret!!!

I also found a lil bird case which I don't know what it meant to be but I just love that it's so cute and can add something to my sunglasses stand. I got a sunglasses hanger from IKEA a while ago as I randomly spot it at the check out. I can't remember how much it was but it's on sale.

That's all I've bought for my room recently.

Do you have any budget homeware recommendation?
