It's summer time and what else you'll need except a nice strawberry!

Today I have some recipe that I adjust from a victories sponge cake as I got a fresh strawberry that would look nice in a cake!

What you'll need :

  • 170g Caster Sugar
  • 200g Butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200g Flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Milk

  • Fresh whipping Cream
  • A Fresh Strawberry
  • A Frozen Strawberry - For Jam

  1. Beat the butter and sugar in the electric mixer until smooth then add egg and combine
  2. Add dry ingredient and mix well
  3. Preheat the over for 180C
  4. Divide the mixture into a cupcake cup around 2/3 of the cup
  5. Bake for around 15 minutes or until done. You can check by get a stick (I use the specific one for checking if the cake is done).
  6. Leave it to cool
  7. Put about 2 cup of frozen strawberry into sauce pan and add a lil bit of water and sugar until you get the perfect taste. It's depend on how you like it. I like it to be a lil sour so I add 3 Tbsp of sugar.
  8. Make a lil hole on the top of your cupcake then put the jam in
  9. Beat the Whipping until fluffy then scoop it on top of the Jam and decorate with a fresh strawberry.
  10. Enjoy!!

The recipe is so simple and easy so I hope you can try and if you enjoy, don't forget to share this cake with the person who love and enjoy this happiness together!

Soap & Glory Haul : Just a Brow Pencil!

It happened again when you just feeling a lil bit spendy by intending to buy just a brow pencil but come out of Boots with loads of stuff.

I heard about the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil for a long time but never try them as my old No7 one just work fine. I picked up 2 of the brow tint and pencil one as the normal one with the brush is sold out. I find that the tint side works very well, even more than I expect. It give a nice line that you can fake your brow hair and make it look real. And I use the pencil side to fill the rest of my brow. So far I quite impress with the Soap and Glory brow pencil as many people rave about!

Next thing is the Thick and Fast HD Mascara which I got for free after purchasing those 2 brow pencil. I found that this is a lil bit hard to apply compare to my other mascara. However, it doesn't melt throughout the day which I found many mascara I tried tend to crease in the middle of the day as I live in a very hot place. For the volumising and lengthening, it does nothing in lengthening but it give a lil bit of volume so if you use it with other lengthening mascara, it would be fine.

In the free gift, I also got the mini-size of the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in shade Technicoral. I expect it to be a bright red lip colour but actually this give a nice sheer colour that doesn't look too bold. I apply it on top of the Fresh Sugar lip balm and it give a very nice sheer red colour. The smell is always good when it come to Soap and Glory lips product.

The last thing is the Love at First Blush, which I'm so excited to try! This is a very beautiful picky colour blush with a lil bit of shimmer on. I found that it's not that pigmented but you can build it up, which is good for beginner.

That's all I got from "just one brow pencil" Haul. Let's me know if you have tried any good Soap & Glory products.

Canmake Powder

Talking about matte face, we cannot overlook the Japanese beauty product!

I was introduced to the website called Cosme a while ago and I spend a lot of time reading that. I found that the the Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder held the number one ranking for a long time, so I decided to pick it up.

Firstly, the packaging is so cute and so Japanese. It has a huge mirror. The only downside is that it made out of plastic which is likely to broke easily.

As the name said, this powder gave the the marshmallow finish and the colour doesn't drop. I found that you don't need to re apply during the day unless it's super hot and sweaty. I usually just apply some concealer on the red spot I needed and just use this on top without foundation.

I found that if you use so many product with this powder, it can be a lil bit cakey. only use the moisturiser, concealer, and the powder gave the perfect finish and it doesn't feel heavy at all.

However, using this powder, you have to clean it evenly because it can break you out if you don't clean it with cleansing oil or micelle water.

Have you ever tried a marshmallow powder?

What I've learnt from my first year blogging

Can we call it an anniversary that I've been doing this blog for 1 year. I've learnt many things after I do blogging for a hobby that I want to share with you who are interested in doing so.
  • Blogging is not easy but not that hard : You'll find some part of doing the blog hard for you but there'll be some part that you enjoy doing. For me, I enjoy taking photo and thinking about content so much, however, I found writing the post itself quite hard for me as I'm not a native English speaker.

  • Instagramable : I understand the word "Instagramable" after star blogging. As I enjoy taking photo so much, I found that I love to find the scene for taking beautiful photo and when I found a good lighting, I always take my phone out and take some photo.

  • Photography equipment : I never think that taking photo in natural light would make a huge different from taking it from studio light. I found myself interested in investing in a god photography equipment more than before and I'm regret investing in all of photographing thing because you can use it in many occasion.

  • Be yourself : I've learnt to be myself in any thing I do in my blog because it's my space. I've learnt from reading many blog that everyone is being his/her self, and that's what make a blog interesting.

  • Take the most appropriate way : I found that the best way to do the blog is that do it in the most appropriate way for yourself. Choose the time and the blog post style that's most suitable for yourself, and it would create the best of your blog.

Here is all the thing I can think about now. I didn't regret start blogging at all, I found that it's a good hobby for those of you who interested in anything and you want to share your idea/thought with others.

Cool Spring Nail Varnishes

When it come to spring beauty, the first thing that come to my mind is the colourful nail varnish. I always find that the blue shade of any spring nail collection is always my favourite blue. Here I have my top 3 nail varnishes that I reach for in spring time.

I love Yves Rocher Nail varnish as it isn't expensive and the quality is better than the average high-street. I love the shade Bleu Nigella (61) which is the bright blue, and the mint green which is Menthe (71). Those 2 give the gross finish and also last about 5 days without chip which is great for this price of nail varnish. This nail varnish also available in a variety of colour.

Another one is the Japanese brand, Majolica Majorca. This is their spring collection that I can't remember from when. It's pretty baby blue colour and what make it even more pretty is that it smell. It doesn't have the chemical cell like other nail varnish but it smell like Majolica perfume. The lasting power is not as much as other mail varnish but talking about the smell and the pretty colour, it's good one to try!

That's all 3 shade I like for spring time. Do you have any favourite brand of nail varnish?

Photo Diary : Wing N' Thing

After school could be a very good time to hang out with your friend and have some yummy food. Of course a fried chicken is one of the best choice!

This place opens 4pm which is the time that my class end. They sell fried chicken and fish and chip. I'm quite amaze with the fried chicken and their sauces, who can imagine a Jack Daniel sauce? The sauces is so good but the friend chicken is on average. They do serve alcoholic drink as well as normal drink.

I love the fish and chip as it's one of my most favourite food when I was in UK.

Do you want to try a Jack Daniel Sauce?

Good Bronzer Don't Break Your Bank

There's no reason not to like a good budget bronzers. Recently I have an obsession with conturing and highlighting that I tried many high-street bronzers to find if there is some good one out there.

I found The Collection Contour Kit which has both highlighter and contour powder. I'm not a fan of their highlight as it's too white and not give that much glow. However, the bronzer is great and suit my skin tone so well. The bronzer is matte but highlighter has a lil bit of shimmer that you can't notice on your face. This is great for beginner as the pigment is not too strong but you can build it up.

Next bronzer is well-known one, The Rimmel Natural Bronzer. This might not be as great as the Collection one in contouring but I use it as a blush sometime to give a lil of sun kiss to my face. It's quite orange for contouring (for my skin tone). But I love it as a blush and top with a lil of shimmery highlighter.

I don't know whether I should call it bronzer or highlighter. It's the Collection Shimmer Shades Way to go. This perfectly as blush or top on you contouring. I use it separately by colour. I often use the dark brown one on top of contouring a lil bit to give a hint of glow. And the other 3 work so well together as blush and highlighter.

That's all my favourite bronzer so far. Do you have any recommendation for high-street bronzer?
