When Anime Come to Cosmetic

Recently I take another trip to MatsuKiyo (Japanese Drugstore) and I found the Sailor Moon eyeliner that is too cute to resist buying. I love Sailor Moon so much when I was a kid. If you never heard of this cartoon before, it's a Japanese cartoon back in 1990s.

At first I just think this eyeliner is cute but not probably the best. I admitted that it's quite pricy for a hughstreet eyeliner, it cost 600thb (around 13£). The eyeliner shape looks like a wand in the Anime (Japanese cartoon) which is very cute!

The brush is actually a brush like any other Japanese eyeliner tip. The tip is very fine that and easy to use.

It is available in black and brown. It's water proof and doesn't smudge throughout the day. For me, this is a good eyeliner. It can be compared to the Topshop eyeliner that I love except the Topshop one sometime smudge.

Overall this eyeliner is far better than what I expect when I bought it so I'd recommend if you could get your hand on!

Have you ever try any Anime makeup?

Fashion Staple : Jacket

Hello Friends!

It's now 2016 and I think I wanna try some fashion post which I'm not that keen on to be honest. I think I would introduce my all-time fav jackets.

I think Denim Jacket is one of the essential fashion item in your wardrobe as it can go with anything. If the weather is a lil bit chilly, just throw it on and it look good. I love this Ms.Selfridge Denim Jacket. It's very wearable. It might be too thick for summer but I get a lot wear out of it anyway.

Another favourite of mine is this Forever 21 Green Army Jacket. The colour doesn't as vivid as it in real life. I wear it to death as it's so light and even in summer you can still wear it. It can be pair with everything. I even wear it with my uniform to dress it up a lil bit. I can't find this similar jacket anymore. It's very practical as it has 2 pockets that you can actually put stuff in (some jacket just have pocket that is not real pocket!).

These are 2 jackets I wear the most in my closet. I think these 2 can go with various occasion and you can either dress it up or dress it down.

Do you have any favourite jacket?

Some Makeup On Trial

Recently I've purchased a couple of things from either hughstreet and high end brand. I'm trying these new products for a week and I think I'd share with you what I think about all of the products I've tried.

First thing I bought is the Canmake Eye Brow Pencil in shade 02 Marron Brown. I ran out of my Topshop brow pencil and I think why not try Japanese products and see if I like it. I found that it's too hard and only little colour come out. The colour is too golden for my brow and it's quite hard to shape my brow using this. However, the brush on the other end is very good, it's so soft. I prefer the pencil of the Topshop one I used before but if you have blond hair, this might suit you.

Next thing I got is the Nars Orgasm brush in mini size. I heard of this brush for a very long time since before I start blogging. I'd say that I love this but I'm not gonna purchase a full size one because it does look beautiful but not that beautiful. I found that this give a glow to my skin but after using for a while, I notice that it irritate my skin.

After I couldn't find the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner anywhere, I give up and try a new thing. I found the Loreal Super Liner Black Lacquer on a deal in Boots so I decide to pick it up. The applicator is like a sponge, it's not a brush which quite similar to the Collection Fast stroke but a lil bit softer. It become a lacquer consistency when it dry like the name said. This eyeliner stay all day without any smudging which is very god for hot weather. Overall I like this one and I would continue using it to see how long it last.

Do you fancy trying these makeup product?

A Quick Walk In to Japanese Drugstore

I can't deny that Japanese Drugstore look attractive.

Recently, MatsuKiyo, a Japanese drugstore just opened in the shopping centre near my house so I decide to go and take a quick look. I was looking for a good hand cream and lip balms and I found something interesting in there.

The first one is just a basic lip balm by Menturm. I love the smell of it so much, which some people might don't because it smell like a eucalyptus. It's very cooling when you use it like a mint lip balm but not make your lip dry. It actually better than I expected when I pick it up as it's very cheap. It cost only about 1£ (49baht).

This one is another Menturm Shea Lip Stick which I bought because of the packaging. It's beautiful pink and the material make it feel expensive. The tube is quite similar material to the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara that it's heavy and delicate. The smell is like a Japanese Cherry Blossom, it's so sweet and nice. It also moisturising and don't make my lip dry after using.

Last thing I picked up is the Moisture Hand Cream. I cannot read that much Japanese so I don't know what is written on the tube. I randomly pick it up as it's only 2 left on the shelf. I didn't expect it to be very good but it actually is! First when I put it on my hand, it smells like eucalyptus then the smell gone and hand cream absorb into my hand and it didn't feel greasy at all.

That's all I picked up form MatsuKiyo. Do you want to explore Japanese Drugstore makeup?

White Wins?

*This is just a muttering post about something I experience recently

Normally I don't post on Wednesday but recently I saw the advertised video of the brand "Soul Secret" that if you're white, you all wins. As I live in Thailand and grown up here, I experienced many people strict to the idea that to be beautiful you have to be white. I personally don't like that value of the beautiful white girl, not meant to be racist to anything but I think every women is beautiful in her own way. In Thailand, it used to be almost impossible to find the moisturiser without whitening (now there are few which don't contain).

Before that, I don't have any problems with the advertiser about the whitening moisturiser that make your skin brighter but this ads make me think that the value of people about the whiteness goes too far and become intolerable. There are many people here in Thailand still love tan skin. I don't think it's necessary for this brand to compare the white and the tan skin because everyone has their own preference.

I just felt like it's not acceptable value in this society but I couldn't do anything about it so I just wanna say that it's not wrong to advertise about your whitening product but it's also not true to compare and discriminate those who don't prefer to be pale.

Mini Apple Pie

I have baked this apple pie many times and I think why not share it in my blog today!

This is the mini apple pie. It's British style with caster sugar when served. It's super easy to make and also delicious!

For dough

  • 225g All-purpose flour
  • 140g Cold Butter
  • 30ml Cold Water

For Apple Filling
  • 2 green apples
  • Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • Lemon Juice (optional but I normally don't use)

  • Firstly, you need to rub the cold butter into the flour until it become the crumble, then add cold water.
  • Form the dough (1-2mm thickness) into the mini pie pan. I use something like this.
  • Strew the filling and add to the pie.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degree Celsius and bake for 18-25 mins depends.
  • Enjoy!!

Best of 2015

2015 Already ended means it's time for yearly favourite!!

All of my favourite of favourites are summed up in this post. I feel like doing the favourite of all favourites of this year. So here are all things I love in the past year.

For my skincare favourite, I discovered the Clarins Cream Mask for Dehydrated Skin which I felt in love after my first time using it as it make a huge different. My skin become more hydrated and nourished. The scent is not too strong and it didn't break me out. I used it once or twice a week depend on how dry my face get.

My next favourite is also Clarins. I found Amelia Liana using the Clarins Blur Orchid Oil and she said it's so good, so I decide to try. It make a different as a serum. I love it after using it. I only use it at night before apply anything. I actually love the smell of it. This oil doesn't make me break out again which I found some oils do.

Finally I found my favourite lip balm of the year, it's the Bobbi Brown Lip balm SPF15. I love the formula of this lip balm. The packaging is also lovely as it comes in silver pot. The only thing I don't like about it is sometime there are dust or something contaminate to the lip balm. I prefer the chapstick form but disregard of that point, it's very good lip balm.

My last skincare favourite is the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil. It cleans all of my makeup and doesn't irritate my eye which is perfect for cleansing oil.

For the makeup, I don't have any eyeliner or brow favourite. I found only 3 items I actually love.

I discovered the Diorskin Star Concealer from my friend and I actually love it. It blends beautifully to  the skin and it doesn't come off even in a super hot day during summer. I think it's a bit too expensive but it worth the price.

As I love the Loreal True Match for a long time, I definitely try their new formula. I'd say that I love the consistency of the old formula. However, I get a lot of compliment about my face when I use the new one. I use it alone without the concealer because it's already full-coverage, and also without powder as it's matt and it last all day.

My last makeup favourite is the Makeup Revolution Iconic Palette 3, which is the dupe for the Naked 3 palette. I always want the naked 3 palette but I rarely use eyeshadows. I only use eyeshadow when I feel like to so I don't think it would be a great idea if I purchase the Naked palette. This is already a good quality.

I went to the supermarket in the kids section and I spotted the Johnson Body Care Rich Spa. I pick it up because it smells so gooooooood. But after I use it, it does make my skin feel softer and it stay so long on the skin. I'd say that it's perfect for dry skin.

Another discovery is the Body Shop Nail Colours in no.730 Almond Kiss. I think this is the best nail varnish I've used this year. I actually prefer the Tanya Burr one but it's not available in my country so it's the second to the Tanya Burr Nail varnish. It last for a week and it also shiny. Normal nail varnish I've tried only shiny for a day but this one last for 3-4 days.

Here are all my music favourites for 2015. I don't have specific songs that I like, so I link a playlist here.

I have only one movie favourite this year, it's the Paddington (2015). I love this version as the bears is so cute and the animation is great. If you never watch this movie, go watch it!! It such a lovely movie.

Here are all my favourite for 2015. I hope you'll have a wonderful 2016, and see you on Tuesday.

In Love with This Cleansing Oil

It just happened that recently I wear my Loreal True Match Foundation everyday after stop wearing for while as it break me out. That foundation is quite full coverage and the Micellar water alone cannot get all the makeup off. I try to go back to my favourite Body Shop Camomile Cleansing oil to see if it does clean the makeup better than the Micellar water or not, and it does.

It removes all of my makeup and make my face so clean after using it. I usually use 2 pumps, massage on the makeup then wash it with the warm water. I usually use Micellar water to clean after using it if I wear a heavy eye makeup. I found that even if I wear a full-coverage heavy foundation, it won't break me out if I clean with this cleansing oil. I also love that it doesn't irritate my eye.

Do you want to try these wonderful cleansing oil?

Winter Skincare Add-Up

As winter means dry skin for me, I decide to add something new for my skincare routine a bit.

Even though the weather here is not that cold but the weather make my skin dry and more dehydrated.

I stopped using my Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil for a while as I didn't have any big breakout and also run out of it. I recently got a bodyshop member card so I changed to The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil. I don't think it will make any different because it's both 100% tea tree oil, but it does. I feel like my new Body Shop one is more gentle. It doesn't make my skin dry or feel irritating, and the consistency is more like an oil then the Thursday Plantation one.

I heard from Amelia Liana again that she love this HydraQuench Cream Mask Mask from Clarins. It's for dehydrated skin. I'm not quite sure about this at the beginning because it contain fragrance, but after using it, I feel a huge different. It feel like your skin become super hydrated again.

Last add-up item is the Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Firming/Sculpting Eye Creme. I also not sure about this one because I have no idea and never use any eye cream before. I got a sample size of this eye cream and I thought I should use something for my eye. I use this about a week now and I haven't yet feel any different except it moisturise my under-eye area.

Here is all I added to my skincare routine lately.

Do you have any winter skincare recommendation?

2016 Goals and Resolution

Goals and resolution might be boring for some people because not that much people achieved their goals. I feel that the goals for 2016 will be a commitment if I put it on my blog to remind me that I intend to complete these goals by the end of next year, and it would be great if I can do it!

  • Go travel alone : I'm planing that I'll go travel on my own. Not in my hometown or familiar place, I need to get out of my comfort zone. I hope that if I got a chance, I can go and explore the world and I might learn something from being out of my comfort zone.

  • Read more book : I haven't read much book this year. I read a couple novel and a lot more like the textbook for my study. I always feel like novel give you more emotional experience that the text book. Even though I read many book, but I feel like I need more good novel or books that's not school-related.

  • Attend more class : Next year will be my last year at uni. I hope I attend more class than I do now. I feel like some class are useless to attend but I hope that the subject I'm interested in would be that interesting so I would feel happy to go to school.

  • Less Soda : I need to drink less Coke seriously. I drink soda almost everyday I go to uni because I love it!! But I think it wouldn't be good for my health in the future, so I think I would drink less but not totally give up.

  • More work out : I never into fitness stuff until around September this year. I think I would work out more next year as it makes me feel good after it. I also want to be more healthy. I think once or twice a week would be possible to do as now I do once a week already.

  • No unwearable fashion item : last year I bought so much stuff that I like or bargain but I never get to wear them. I feel like I should buy stuff that I'm going to wear even though it might cost a lil more. I always shop at forever21 or Topshop when it's sale and get some stuff that is not practical in real life. I got a very beautiful Lyn Around Coat  just because it's on discount and never wear them.

Do you have any goals for 2016?

I hope you'll have a wonderful year.
